Camagüey, 1960. Profesora y bailarina cubana especializada en Danza Moderna y Folklórica. Licenciada en Arte Danzario. Doctora en Ciencias sobre Arte. En 1996 obtuvo el Premio Nacional de Investigación con su obra "El treme Abakuá" y, en 2001, el Premio de Investigación Cultural con el texto "Las celebraciones rituales festivas en La Regla de Ocha".
